St Luke’s Church is a group of people travelling together to discover and experience more and more of God. We are a varied congregation who care for one another as we are and welcome anyone who wishes to join in on the journey together.

Our services tend to be relaxed and encouraging. The young people are included in worshiping alongside the adults each week for the first part of the service. There is then a thriving Sunday School every week.

We are practical people and so we try to reflect on our whole lives in the light of God’s word and prayer. We experience God speaking to us through the normality of life, whilst sometimes breaking through in extraordinary ways.

Our current aims for this year show this link between the practical and the spiritual of our church life. They are;

Development of Worship

  • To develop more people in being involved in worship – of all ages, gender etc.
  •  To develop the worship area and to look at installing a permanent projector & screen

Children in the Church

  •  To organise more leaders for the Sunday School (@10-15 children per week)
  • To develop the building to increase and improve the space for young people

Youth Work

  • To enable Capt Tim to to build the young peoples work across the team in the coming year
  • To host the new youth group at St Luke’s

Church in the community

  • To prayer walk around the area at least once per month
  •  To develop ways of supporting members in their lives and relationships as Christ’s people.

    St Luke’s church is a place for people who want to know that Jesus is with them in their lives yesterday, today and for ever.
