Mother's Union Outing 2010

On Wednesday 14th July, 43 members of the Hanley Team Ministry, and friends, visited the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas Staffordshire, on a trip organised by the Hanley Team Mother’s Union.  Despite a few clouds the day remained dry, which was just as well as all the memorials were in the open grounds.  It was a moving experience to read the names of the 16,000 servicemen and women who had lost their lives in serving their country from 1945 until the    present day.  Following the visit to the Arboretum, the party was transported into Tamworth for lunch, with time to browse the shops and castle.  The day ended with a very pleasant afternoon tea served at St.Barnabas’ Church, Mile Oak (just outside Tamworth) where the rector served his curacy
