On Monday November 9th the Hanley Team was delighted to welcome the Revd Christine Broad as Team Vicar, in a Licensing service at St Matthew's Church. Christine will take special responsibility for St Matthew's and Holy Trinity.

Bishop Gordon Mursell conducted the licensing, here is Christine with the Bishop after the service.

Christine Broad would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made the licensing service on the evening of Monday 9th November such a wonderful and memorable occasion for all the Broad family as you welcomed us into the Hanley team. We are very grateful for all the hard work that went into putting the service and buffet afterwards together, and also appreciate the flowers, wine and music gift tokens which were presented to us.
Christine says, " I felt very moved to be surrounded by  my family and by so many friends representing different aspects of my life- former teaching colleagues, friends from many different churches , members  of many different communities , and new friends I am looking forward to meeting and working with here in the Hanley team.I feel as though my past, present and future were all represented that evening and that the Lord was, is, and will be in all of it. To God be the glory!"
