Our Day Out to West Midlands Safari Park

On Saturday 17th July a coach party from the Hanley Team set off on Safari to enjoy a day out at the West Midlands Safari Park. We were delighted to see all sorts of creatures great and small on our drive through the enclosures and at even closer quarters in the bat cave and reptile house. We enjoyed an encouter with an inquisitive giraffe who put his head right through the open window of the coach, and were amused to be held up by a small herd of deer who had to be moved on by the park rangers. After our encouters with the animals younger members of our party enjoyed the delights of the theme park- while the more sedate amongst us enjoyed a cup of tea in the restuarant! We finished our visit at the sea lion show and are now looking forward to our next day out to Buxton for brass band and cream tea in August.
